bathing under the moon

I held a gun in my hand, it made me cry, I went to Africa and found the spreading desert sands, the power I have over you, it sometimes scares me, I pray that I’m strong enough to ward off the nightmares you will have, I want to know that it is all right now and that when I hear you call, we will work hard to break down these walls, we are looking to be bathing under the moon, living in this ebb and flow and with what we may never know

I heard the news today, fate had passed by my children again, I thought about all the people who will die, in the streets of our neighbourhoods, I made a remark to you, you took it as the plain truth, I’m trying to undo all the damage, that life will eventually dish you, I want to know that it is all right now and that when I hear you call, we will work hard to break down these walls, we are looking to be bathing under the moon, living in this ebb and flow and with what we may never know

we’ll be bathing under the moon

story

This came from one of those strange dreams that leave you the whole next day in a haze trying to piece it together. When I woke up I went down to the kitchen for a drink, found a smoke and wandered outside to make sure that the bomb hadn’t just dropped...

This song is about dreaming that together we can evolve to a point that we no longer need to make war. I put this song on the Artists Against War benefit CD.
